40 Days of #RunChatHunt

At the end of the year, we have done several holiday-to-holiday #RunChatHunt events. After taking a break with a summer edition last year, we thought why not do a holiday-to-holiday version of #RunChatHunt in the late spring and early summer?

While these are U.S. holidays, this time of the year is a season of change around the world, so let’s have some fun with it.

If you’re new to #RunChatHunt, it’s very simple to join in: we have a list of items for you to find on a run, you find those items, and then post photos or videos on those items on social media using the #RunChatHunt tag.

Just like the previous #RunChatHunt there aren’t any prizes - this is all about you having fun and claiming some virtual bragging rights to finding the items.

When you find the items, please try to remember to get the #RunChat social media accounts a tag. We’ll do our best to like and/or repost those items. (Find us on Bluesky, Threads, Instagram and Facebook)

Here is this year’s list based on the popularity of items over the years and an informal gathering of ideas during a #RunChat.

  1. Sunrise or sunset

  2. An out-of-season item (like leftover Halloween, Christmas or Easter decor)

  3. Body of water

  4. A strange mailbox

  5. Something from your hometown

  6. A bridge

  7. Flowers

  8. Funky (or funny-to-you) lawn decor

  9. A stop sign

  10. Postal or delivery vehicle

  11. Wagon wheel (old-school wagon wheel or a newer kids wagon wheel)

  12. A little free library
