Annual holiday-to-holiday #RunChatHunt is coming soon!
‘Tis the season for another #RunChatHunt! The mostly traditional scavenger hunt will start on Nov. 26 (Thanksgiving Day in the U.S.) and continue through Jan. 1, 2021.
We’re already lining up some great prizes from previous #RunChat sponsors as well as some items from companies new to the community! We will unveil all those in a blog post late in the day on Nov. 25.
Before that, though, we want to answer the question for anyone new to the community over the past year: WHAT IS #RUNCHATHUNT?
Short answer if you want to browse quickly: It’s a scavenger hunt! We give you a list of items to find, you find them, then tweet pics of those images to be entered to win some great prizes.
A longer answer: It’s an amazing way to have a lot of fun with running to close out the year! Each photo is worth one entry, so we ask that you avoid submitting collage type photos. And since this spanned over the holiday-to-holiday period, you don’t have pressure to find all the items on one run.
You can check out previous versions of #RunChatHunt HERE. This version of #RunChatHunt will follow our “traditional” route of 1 list, several items, and several prizes.
HOW TO SUBMIT IDEAS FOR #RUNCHATHUNT
One of the best features about #RunChatHunt is that the list of items to find are from YOU, the community. We recently took submissions for those ideas at the Nov. 15 #RunChat … then a vote was held on the top items to find. Watch for the items to find on Nov. 26!
HOW TO ENTER
As we mentioned, a tweet with the items to find counts as an entry. Some prizes will be available for shipping around the world; some will be U.S. only. Collage pics are fun to see, but will not be eligible for prizes. We want to see each item separately!
Be creative with your entries — if you have trouble finding an item, there are some creative ways for you to make something for it to count. You don’t have to be completely literal with some of the items that will show up. If you have to tweet, “Does this count?” The answer will most likely be YES!
WHEN WILL #RUNCHATHUNT START AND END?
As soon as we finish a blog entry here and post about it! That will be no later than early morning on Thursday, Nov. 26, but will more likely be late on Wednesday, Nov. 25.
#RunChatHunt will officially end at 11:59 p.m. Eastern Time (U.S.) on Jan. 1, 2021.
Prizes will be announced no later than the end of the day Jan. 3, 2021.
